Transcend and include is the phrase for a developmental move that does not discard what came before but carries it forward in a new arrangement. In a group, this is much harder than it sounds: the people most attached to the current way are usually right about what will be lost, and a facilitator who cannot say so honestly will not be trusted with the transition.
Seventy-seven thousand words on doing it well — the sequencing, the grief, the specific work of naming what is genuinely ending. Six chapters stand and it is published in the open. The two stray characters at the end of the title are a typing error in the source manifest; the house has left them visible rather than quietly correcting the record.
